Working Together for a Green Future: The Story of Team 7 "Sustainability" In our eTwinning project "Highschoolers Talk" a group of students from Turkey and Romania joined forces for an important mission. They worked on a topic that matters to everyone today: “Simple Ways to Live a More Sustainable Life”. By working as a multinational team, Orhun, Bianca and Ada have showed that we can make a big difference when we share our ideas across borders. The team didn't just want to list tips; they wanted to tell a story that would change how people think. They organized their speech into three clear parts: Orhun (TR) started the video with a "Wake-Up Call" called “The Weight of a Single Choice”. He talked about how our daily decisions like using a plastic bottle or a reusable one really add up. He reminded us that every small choice has a big impact on the planet. Bianca Raluca (RO) handled the main part of the speech title...

HIGH SCHOOLERS TALK I- Team 4 Explores the Power of Small Habits

As Team 4 , we recently completed an exciting project exploring the impact of our daily routines on our personal growth. Under the guidance of our mentor, Derya Veziroğlu, our team members—Öykü Bedia, Theodora Sorana, and Esra Derya—connected across borders to explore "The Power of Small Habits in Personal Development." As suggested in our project guidelines, we managed the entire process through a dedicated WhatsApp group. This is where we brainstormed opening hooks, shared our research, and gave each other feedback on our speech drafts. Even though we were in different schools, the group kept our "team spirit" alive! 2. Research & Content Creation We divided our TED-style talk into three key stages to give a complete and impactful presentation: Öykü Bedia (Introduction): She researched the foundation o...

Behind the Scenes with Team 2: A Collaborative Approach to Empathy and Community By Sorana Necula Teacher Coordinator, Colegiul Național "George Coșbuc" Cluj-Napoca, Romania As the coordinator for Team 2 in the "High Schoolers Talk I" project, I have had the privilege of observing a truly meaningful collaborative process. Our mixed-country team was tasked with exploring a nuanced and highly relevant subject for today's youth: Mental Health, Empathy, and Stronger Communities, with a specific focus on understanding other cultures. Watching our students from Romania and Turkey navigate this theme with maturity, structured effort, and mutual respect has been a rewarding professional experience. The final presentation is the result of careful planning, but the steps the students took to get there are equally worth highlighting. To properly address the complexity of the topic, we divided the presentation into three distinct but connected segments, allowing each stu...
