Working Together for a Green Future: The Story of Team 7 "Sustainability"

In our eTwinning project "Highschoolers Talk" a group of students from Turkey and Romania joined forces for an important mission. They worked on a topic that matters to everyone today: “Simple Ways to Live a More Sustainable Life”. By working as a multinational team, Orhun, Bianca and Ada have showed that we can make a big difference when we share our ideas across borders.

The team didn't just want to list tips; they wanted to tell a story that would change how people think.

They organized their speech into three clear parts:

• Orhun (TR) started the video with a "Wake-Up Call" called “The Weight of a Single Choice”. He talked about how our daily decisions like using a plastic bottle or a reusable one really add up. He reminded us that every small choice has a big impact on the planet.
• Bianca Raluca (RO) handled the main part of the speech titled “The Compound Interest of Habits”. She used a smart example: just like saving a little money every day makes you rich later, small green habits today create a much healthier Earth in the future.
• Ada Karya (EAFL) finished the video with a hopeful message called “Rewriting the Future, One Step at a Time”. She encouraged us to stop worrying and start building the world we want to live in.

Writing Together Online

Even though they live in different countries, the students used Google Docs to write their scripts. They used a special template to make sure their arguments were strong and easy to follow. It was great to see how they helped each other improve their sentences so that the whole speech sounded like it came from one voice.

Meeting on the Screen

The most exciting part was their online meeting. The Team had an online meeting where they had a chance to get to know each other. The students met on camera to practice their parts out loud. They listened carefully to each other, checked their timing and made sure the transitions between their topics were smooth. This meeting proved that technology can bring us together to solve global problems.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Finally, it was time to record. Each student filmed their part at home or school. Sometimes it was difficult, maybe the lighting wasn't right or they made a small mistake but they didn't give up. They re-recorded their videos until they were happy with the result. Team teacher then put the clips together to create one final collaborative video.

What We Learned

This journey is a perfect example of teamwork. Orhun’s powerful opening, Bianca’s smart facts and Ada’s inspiring ending came together perfectly. Their video shows that when we combine our efforts and stay persistent, we can inspire others to live more sustainably. We are very proud of their hard work!
