Project Diary: The Future of Medicine and Scientific Discoveries (TEAM 5)

As Team 5, we recently completed an exciting project exploring the evolution of healthcare. Under the guidance of our mentor, Nida Türkelay, our team members—Ayşenaz, Samet, and Andreea—connected across borders to build a bridge between the medicine of the past and the technology of the future.

Here is a look at our journey and how we brought this project to life:

1. Digital Collaboration (WhatsApp Coordination)

Teamwork started with communication. We managed the entire process through a dedicated WhatsApp group. This is where we brainstormed ideas, shared our research, and gave each other feedback on our presentation drafts. Even though we were in different places, the group kept our "team spirit" alive!

2. Research & Content Creation

We divided the topic into three key stages to give a complete picture:

  • Ayşenaz (Introduction): She researched the roots of modern medicine. By comparing how a simple flu was once deadly to how easily we treat it today, she reminded us that the history of wound healing is truly the history of humankind.

  • Samet (The Body): He focused on the "now." Samet explored how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionising diagnosis by spotting diseases earlier than ever. He also highlighted a crucial point: while AI is powerful, human empathy remains irreplaceable in fields like psychiatry.

  • Andreea Raluca (Conclusion): She gathered our hopes for the future. Her work emphasised that medicine is a blend of scientific progress and the human desire to protect life, challenging us all to value science and compassion.

3. Creative Production (Canva & CapCut)

We wanted our message to be visual and dynamic, not just text. To do this:

  • We used Canva to design professional layouts and visual aids for our topic.

  • We used CapCut to edit our videos, adding transitions and effects to make our final presentation engaging and high-energy.

Final Thoughts

This project was more than just a science assignment; it was a lesson in global collaboration. By combining our research with tools like WhatsApp, Canva, and CapCut, we learned that the future of medicine—and the future of education—is all about working together through technology.

  🟣 Our First Teacher Meeting – High Schoolers Talk I Hi everybody, On 12th November , the partner teachers of our eTwinning project High Schoolers Talk I held their first online kick-off meeting, moderated by Bedia Tekşen from Ercan Akın Science High School. It was a great start! Here’s what we did: We got to know each other and welcomed new partners. We reviewed the project plan and timeline. We shared and discussed task distribution. We clarified the project flow and upcoming steps. And most importantly—we officially began our journey! 🔜 What’s Next? We’ll introduce the project to our students, schools, and parents. We’ll carry out pre-surveys and choose our speaking topics. We’ll teach students about eSafety , copyright issues , and eTwinning rules . Students will prepare short introduction videos and start designing project logos. We’re excited to move forward together and can’t wait to see the creativity and teamwork ahead!
