High Schoolers Talk I – Team 6 on Sports and Music in our lives

In the High Schoolers Talk I eTwinning project, Team 6 worked on the inspiring topic: “The Impact of Sports and Music on Our Lives, emotions and society. “The students collaborated across countries, showing both academic dedication and creativity as they prepared their speech.

📝 Structuring the Speech

The team organized their work into three parts:

  • Ilkay (Raluca’s student) introduced the topic, talking about  Sports & music in society and in our everyday lives
  • Zeynep Bilge (Nida’s student) developed the body, presenting Some facts about  Mental, social and cultural effects of the sports and music
  • Yigit (Hilal’s student) concluded with an interesting message about Why do sports and music bring people together and make them aware of their effects?

💻 Collaborative Writing

The students first drafted their parts on Google Documents, using the speech template to organize their ideas. This template helped them structure their thoughts clearly and make their arguments more persuasive. It was very important that they looked on each other’s draft.

🌐 Online Meeting

Later, they joined an online meeting where each student spoke about its speech, sharing ideas in an interesting conversation. They talked with the teacher about their final work.

🎥 Recording the Video

After refining their speech, the students recorded their parts. Like other teams, they faced small challenges, but motivation was strong. Finally, their recordings were sent to the teacher, who merged them into a collaborative video.

🌍 Student Achievement

Team 6’s journey showed how mixed teams can achieve impressive results when they combine effort, creativity, and academic discipline. TED talks are very motivational, and the students’ video could also be seen like this.

  🟣 Our First Teacher Meeting – High Schoolers Talk I Hi everybody, On 12th November , the partner teachers of our eTwinning project High Schoolers Talk I held their first online kick-off meeting, moderated by Bedia Tekşen from Ercan Akın Science High School. It was a great start! Here’s what we did: We got to know each other and welcomed new partners. We reviewed the project plan and timeline. We shared and discussed task distribution. We clarified the project flow and upcoming steps. And most importantly—we officially began our journey! 🔜 What’s Next? We’ll introduce the project to our students, schools, and parents. We’ll carry out pre-surveys and choose our speaking topics. We’ll teach students about eSafety , copyright issues , and eTwinning rules . Students will prepare short introduction videos and start designing project logos. We’re excited to move forward together and can’t wait to see the creativity and teamwork ahead!
