High Schoolers Talk I – Team 3 on Soft Skills and Future Careers

In the High Schoolers Talk I eTwinning project, Team 3 worked on the inspiring topic: “Soft Skills and Finding a Career that Matches Your Passion Considering the Jobs of the Future.” The students collaborated across countries, showing both academic dedication and creativity as they prepared their speech.

📝 Structuring the Speech

The team organized their work into three parts:

  • Zeynep (Derya’s student) introduced the topic, explaining what soft skills are and how they connect to future jobs.

  • Ezgi (Bedia’s student) developed the body, working in a very academic and detailed way, presenting facts and examples about why soft skills matter more than ever and how finding your passion can guide career choices.

  • Antonia (Sorana’s student) concluded with a thoughtful message about preparing for future careers and matching your passion with the jobs of tomorrow.

💻 Collaborative Writing

The students first drafted their parts on Google Documents, using the speech template to organize their ideas. This template helped them structure their thoughts clearly and make their arguments more persuasive.

🌐 Online Meeting

Later, they joined an online meeting where each student read their part aloud. Even though the meeting was virtual, they did a great job—listening to one another, adjusting transitions, and making sure the speech flowed as one meaningful whole.

🎥 Recording the Video

After refining their speech, the students recorded their parts. Like many teams, they faced small challenges, but their excitement kept them motivated. They re-recorded when necessary, showing persistence and commitment. Finally, their recordings were sent to the teacher, who merged them into a collaborative video.

🌍 Student Achievement

Team 3’s journey showed how mixed teams can achieve impressive results when they combine effort, creativity, and academic discipline. Ezgi’s careful, academic approach gave the speech depth, while Zeynep and Antonia contributed strong, clear sections that tied everything together. Their video is not only a product of teamwork but also an inspiration for other students preparing for their own futures.

  🟣 Our First Teacher Meeting – High Schoolers Talk I Hi everybody, On 12th November , the partner teachers of our eTwinning project High Schoolers Talk I held their first online kick-off meeting, moderated by Bedia Tekşen from Ercan Akın Science High School. It was a great start! Here’s what we did: We got to know each other and welcomed new partners. We reviewed the project plan and timeline. We shared and discussed task distribution. We clarified the project flow and upcoming steps. And most importantly—we officially began our journey! 🔜 What’s Next? We’ll introduce the project to our students, schools, and parents. We’ll carry out pre-surveys and choose our speaking topics. We’ll teach students about eSafety , copyright issues , and eTwinning rules . Students will prepare short introduction videos and start designing project logos. We’re excited to move forward together and can’t wait to see the creativity and teamwork ahead!
